National Design Prize Austria
My faucet concept "eve" was awarded the State Prize Design 2017 - the highest award in the Republic of Austria for outstanding design concepts – by the Federal Ministry for Science, Research and Economy (BMWFW).
As I was just starting a new position at Nokia in San Francisco by the beginning of September, I sent my lovely mum receive the prize from Secretary of State Harald Mahrer at the MuseumsQuartier in Vienna.
The awards, which are held every two years by the BMWFW and carried out by designaustria, were awarded in three categories. In addition, the special prize »DesignConcepts« was awarded. In this category my faucet “eve” could convince the jury.
The award ceremony was followed by the opening celebration of the exhibition “Best of Austrian Design”. My faucet as well as alll winning projects can be seen in exhibition at designforum Wien until November 22nd.
