Knit is a very smart monitor. It understands what it sees, and uses its advanced intelligence to keep tabs on breathing, sleep, moments that matter and trends. And all with just a camera - no wearables.
This project started from this working prototype made my Knit, that was based on the assumption of the device mainly being standing next to the babies crib. Therefore it had tripod like stand. After initial user testing, Knit found out, that most of the parents would rather wall-mount the baby camera.
The camera needs to provide an easy wall mount mechanism, in best case, no tools should be needed. Also, for the sake of safety, the cable of the camera needs to be routed away from the baby crib.
Live video conveniently streams directly to the phone with all the information parents need to stay on top of their child's sleep status and keep them comfortable.
Breathe Easy Reassurance. A Breasy™ feature to double-check the babies chest movement can give the parents peace of mind.
Healthy Sleep Environment. THe camera also detects room temperature, humidity, light and sound levels. So parents can create the best sleeping environment for your child.
The camera will hook into an element that can be attached to the wall with adheasieve. (This element can optional be reinforced with screws.) The cable management rubber dots are as well just attached to the wall with adheasieve.
